Huawei, in Cooperation with SAP, to Showcase SAP HANA® Platform

 Huawei, a leading global information and communications technology (ICT) solutions provider today announced plans to demonstrate with SAP the SAP Business One® and SAP HANA® with optimized performance by Huawei at Super Mobility Week powered by CTIA. The companies will exhibit together in booth 4414 at the show, being held Sept. 9 to 11 in Las Vegas.
At the event, Huawei and SAP plan to demonstrate SAP HANA, a real-time platform that empowers customers to transform their businesses and innovate in the cloud. Highlighting Huawei's dedication to innovation and strong hardware performance, the demonstration will take place on Huawei MediaPads, showcasing a platform that is ideally suited to run real-time analytics, and to develop and deploy real-time applications. The companies will also present SAP Business One, a single, integrated solution for successfully managing small businesses and subsidiaries of large enterprises, available as powered by the SAP HANA platform, on premise and in the cloud.
"We are honored to be working with SAP to develop new and revolutionary technologies," said Jane Li, Chief Operating Officer for Huawei. "Through our collaboration, we aim to provide enterprise customers powerful business solutions, such as the Huawei FusionCube solution for the SAP HANAplatform."
Huawei FusionCube, a converged cloud infrastructure, and the Huawei Tecal RH5885 V2 rack server have been certified to run the SAP HANA platform.

ZTE to Sell Unlocked Nubia 5S Mini LTE Smartphone Through Amazon

The new phone will retail for $279.99 through Amazon.com and be available starting Aug. 27. ZTE USA will offer consumers an unlocked version of its Nubia 5S Mini LTE smartphone through Amazon.com for $279.99 starting on Aug. 27. It is available for  preorder immediately . The China-based company  unveiled the availability of the new phone  in an Aug. 20 announcement from its Richardson, Texas-based U.S. division. "Selling the  Nubia 5S Mini LTE  unlocked, direct to consumers shows ZTE has faith in its products and is capable of delivering LTE devices and consumer-focused innovation in the U.S.," Lixin Cheng, chairman and CEO of ZTE USA, said in a statement. Huawei’s cryptic IFA event invite hints at octa-core smartphone

SlashGear  has the full set of images, which includes illustrations of cats, an eight-speed transmission, a finger print, a safe, and a calculator. There’s also what looks like a phone or tablet in the shadows with just enough light to sketch out the number seven around the device. Huawei isn’t giving anything away but we’re thinking it might be an octa-core Ascend Mate 7 with finger print authentication and unlock. Huawei’s recently announced Kirin 920 features a 4+4 core design with a integrated multi-mode LTE Cat 6 radio. That takes care of the six cats, the safe and finger prints, and the eight speed transmission, but we can’t quite figure out what the calculator means. It’s also possible that the Ascend Mate 7 will be announced at IFA but the other images in the deck relate to a completely separate device. Guess we’ll find out September 4. Stay tuned!
